
The Manchester Literary and Philosophical Society commemorated the delivery by John Dalton, on 21st October 1803, of his paper to the Society which included the first account of the Table of Atomic Weights.
Seven special lectures, an exhibition of John Dalton's papers, and Blue Badge guided tours of "Dalton's Manchester" completed the celebrations marking this momentous event in the history of science.
